Jenny Booth
-
Wyoming artist Jenny Booth began honing her skill as a carver in 1985. Once an active outdoorswoman and competitive equestrian, Jenny hung up her spurs and saddle in 2011 to carve full time. Since that time she has been honored to receive several awards, including Best of Show at the Western Design Conference in Jackson, Wyoming. Jenny embraces the challenge of carving, which she calls a "backwards for of art"; starting with a solid removing material to bring to life the art that in her mind’s vision. She strives to capture the kinetic feel of life and flow and is constantly pushing her own envelope with new designs, subjects, and patterns. Each piece is unique and one of a kind, and is often produced with the inspiration of master craftsmen working in other media with limitless possibilities.
